EXHIBITION DESIGN
As an exhibition designer, I strive to create inspiring, relevant, and accessible exhibitions for visitors to explore. At times I am working in the same space that needs to be reinvented or a historic house where a nail cannot be put into the walls, or I am working on an exhibition of plain white paper that needs to be brought to life with color and lighting. Every day seems to be exciting and different.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Every exhibition requires a certain amount of graphic design—panels, artifact labels, a logo here and there,—but these projects are often related to an exhibition but go beyond the basics. I have enjoyed the opportunity to flex my design muscles and jump outside my regular box when working on these projects.
PRODUCTION DESIGN
When I was first approached to be a production designer for a short, I was unsure of how to approach the project. I soon found out that shooting a film combined all my favorite things about exhibition design—telling a story through visuals, working as a team, and a very tight timeline.
